Roberto has 25 years of experience in the financial and technology sector, having held positions in multinational consulting firms as a director, leading the banking sector.

He tackles digital transformation projects in Spain, South America, and Central America in addition to reinforcing Spain as a knowledge hub in banking.

At Axis Corporate, part of Accenture, he reinforces the value that the consulting firm brings to companies in the financial sector through the use of technology and by focusing on the international level.

What is your position at Axis Corporate, part of Accenture?

Leader of the International Business Development Line for the financial services sector and head of Technology services for banking. My objective is to take Axis Corporate, part of Accenture’s value proposition to other locations outside Spain and develop a service offer for the CIOs of financial institutions, both inside and outside Spain, that leverages the companies’ business strategies.

What do you value most about your position?

The opportunity to develop a technological service proposal for the financial sector, which is part of Axis Corporate, part of Accenture’s value on the market, and the no-lesser challenge of utilising the experience, knowledge, and know-how to other regions. On the one hand, there’s the task of creating what we can do, and on the other, there’s the commercial task of “where”. These two key aspects of consulting are “content” and “commercial”.

What are the key ingredients to being good at what you do?

The backpack that I have been filling with experiences, which I continue doing with every step I take, the simplicity and humility of someone who is always learning, as well as perseverance and resilience.

What advice would you give to a client in order to face new market challenges?

Technology is creating an environment of continuous disruption in all businesses by making it simpler and less costly. We need to be able to understand what it is for and how to use it to achieve the desired results.

What phrase do you like to start your day with?

I don’t have a particular phrase; I just have a positive attitude.
